Co-Founder | Vice President

Joseph Schmerler, Co-Founder of Legacy Freight, began his career in the automotive sector, where he quickly discovered a strong passion and specialized talent for sales. During his time in the industry, he was recognized as a top sales producer in Canada for multiple consecutive years, earning several awards and proving he had the drive to build something bigger.

He brings that same mindset into Legacy Freight, where he plays a key role in building client relationships and driving business growth. With a strong background in sales, Joseph combines communication, discipline, and a results-driven approach to deliver value and create long-term partnerships.

Having worked in competitive environments where performance, consistency, and trust are critical, he understands the importance of delivering at a high level every time. His ability to build genuine relationships and stay client-focused is what continues to drive growth and helps position Legacy Freight as a trusted logistics partner.

Thomas Breton

Co-Founder | President

Thomas Breton, Co-Founder of Legacy Freight, began his career as a construction contractor, where he built high-end residential homes and commercial buildings. This experience helped him develop strong organizational and leadership skills, managing multiple moving parts that come together to deliver a finished product much like logistics, where coordination is essential to successful pickups and deliveries.

He brings this practical, hands-on experience into Legacy Freight, where he oversees operations and ensures each shipment runs smoothly. Thomas applies a disciplined and solution-driven approach to managing day-to-day logistics, keeping everything aligned from planning to execution.

With experience in fast-paced and demanding environments, he understands the importance of timing, precision, and accountability. His ability to stay focused, adapt quickly, and keep operations on track ensures consistent performance and reinforces the reliability Legacy Freight is known for.
